How to make easy chocolate chip cookies

In a large bowl pour in both of your sugars and the melted butter. Mix for about 2 minutes until there are no lumps.

Add in your vanilla extract and eggs (1 egg and 1 egg yolk). Mix until smooth

Now add in the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.

After the dough has formed fold in the chocolate chips.

Tips for the best chocolate chip cookies

  • Form the cookie dough balls before you chill them so you can pop them in the oven without struggling to scoop out hard cookie dough.
  • Underbake the cookies and let them sit in the oven while its off to get the perfect cookie
  • Store the cookies in an airtight container with a slice of white bread to keep them soft for longer
  • An extra egg yolk makes them chewy

  • 1 cup butter melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Melt your butter in a small saucepan on low – medium heat or in a microwave-safe bowl, set aside and let it cool down.
  • In a medium bowl whisk together your dry ingredients; flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside for later use.
  • In a large bowl pour in both of your sugars and the melted butter. Mix for about 2 minutes until there are no lumps.
  • Add in your vanilla extract and eggs (1 egg and 1 egg yolk). Mix until smooth
  • Now add in the dry ingredients and mix until well combined. After the dough has formed fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Cover the chocolate chip cookie dough and chill for 30 minutes or longer.
  • I like to form the cookie balls then chill them so I'm not struggling to scoop out hard cookie dough.
  • Preheat your oven to 330°-350°, line your baking sheet and pop those cookies in! Bake for 10 minutes. I like to under bake the cookies and let them sit in the oven for 5 minutes while its off to get it just right
  • Allow the cookies to cool and enjoy!
