How to make chicken noodle soup

This is an easy recipe to make chicken noodle soup. You can definitely make your own chicken broth but I used store-bought broth for this one.

  • Cook the chicken – best to use chicken thighs or drumsticks as they are tenderized easier. Keep the bones for more flavor.
  • Chicken broth – I used unsalted to control the flavor
  • Carrots, celery, onion – the basics of any chicken noodle soup but you can always add any veggies you have on had to make it your own!
  • Egg noodles – feel free to use any noodles you have on hand or your preference
  • Flavor – add more of your favorite herbs and seasonings to enhance the flavor

Storing chicken noodle soup

Keep the homemade chicken noodle soup in an airtight container up to 3-5 days in the fridge. If you want to freeze this soup I would freeze it without the noodles to avoid them becoming soggy when reheating.
