Homemade Churros with Chocolate Ganache
Homemade churros with chocolate ganache on the side are so delicious and easier to make than you think.

Making churros from scratch is easy as they only need simple ingredients that you probably already have in your fridge and pantry. I made these over the weekend for a small get together and everyone loved them. After that, I knew I had to share this recipe with you guys!
How to make homemade churros
- Melt unsalted butter in a medium saucepan then add 1 cup of water, salt, sugar, and vanilla extract
- Let the mixture come to a boil and add in the flour. Turn the flame to low heat and mix until it gets clumpy. Turn off the flame completely and keep mixing until the dough forms.
- Let this cool for 3-5 minutes then add in the 3 eggs. Mix until the churro mix becomes smooth and creamy
- Transfer to a piping bag with a rounded star tip
- Heat up your oil to begin frying the churros until golden brown. Remove from oil and place on paper towels to soak up extra oils.
- Prepare a sugar and cinnamon mixture to coat the churros in
- Enjoy your churros as is or make a chocolate ganache to make it even yummier!
How to make homemade chocolate ganache
In a medium saucepan heat up the heavy cream and add in the vanilla, cinnamon, cocoa powder, and powdered sugar. Continuously mix until smooth. Taste and add more powdered sugar if needed. Your chocolate ganache is ready to be served with your homemade churros.

Ingredients
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Chocolate Ganache
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
- ½ cup powdered sugar can add more depending on how sweet you like it
