Whipped Matcha Recipe (Dalgona Matcha)
Whipped matcha comes from the popular dalgona ‘whipped’ coffee TikTok drink. Here are three different ways to make it for you matcha lovers out there.

How to make whipped matcha
Whipped matcha is made differently from whipped coffee if you are a coffee lover give it a chance if you’ve never tried it. Here are a few different ways to make the whipped matcha:
- With egg whites
- With aquafaba (liquid from canned chickpeas)
- With coconut cream
To make with coconut cream –
Add 1/2 cup of coconut cream to your bowl, whip on high speed until thick and smooth. Add in 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar or make a simple syrup and 1/2 tablespoon of sifted matcha, whip until everything is evenly combined.
Add to your milk and enjoy.
To make with aquafaba –
Use 1 can of chickpea liquid and whip on high speed until it gets fluffy and has soft peaks. Make a simple syrup with 2 tablespoons of boiling water and 2 tablespoons of your preferred sugar.
Boil and stir until sugar dissolves and let cool. Sift 1 tablespoon of matcha over the whipped aquafaba and start mixing and slowly pouring the syrup ain’t the same time until everything is combined.
Pour a glass of milk and top with the whipped matcha.
To make with egg whites –
Pour the sugar and water into a small pot over medium heat and bring to a boil. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Turn off the heat and let it sit and cool down. Can even let it cool in the fridge
Next separate two egg whites into a large mixing bowl. Mix on high speed until egg whites start to get fluffy then pour in the simple syrup (sugar and water mixture) and mix until it forms soft peaks
Add in the matcha and mix until incorporated evenly. Add to iced milk and enjoy!

- 3 tsp matcha powder

- Add in the matcha and mix until incorporated evenly
- In a glass add your ice cubes, milk, and top it with the whipped matcha
- Stir, sip, and enjoy!
