  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3-4 medium bananas mashed ripe
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup brown sugar (light or dark) packed
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup mini chocolate chips dark or milk chocolate
  • ¾ cup walnuts chopped


  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease your 9x5 loaf pan and line it with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside
  • In a large bowl, using a mixer cream the melted butter and sugar together until it has a pasty consistency. Next, mix in the egg, mashed bananas, and vanilla extract. Mix until everything is combined.
  • Now take the dry ingredients and fold them into the wet ingredients. Don't over mix.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts
  • Pour the batter evenly into the loaf pan. Top it with an extra banana, chocolate chips, or walnuts if you like.
  • Bake for 1 hour or until done. Insert a toothpick to check if it comes out clean then you know it's done. Let it cool and set before serving or removing from the pan.
