In a medium bowl beat butter with a hand or stand mixer until the butter has a creamy texture
Pour in the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt with the creamy butter and mix until well-combined
Now gradually add the flour until the mix becomes dough-like
Pour in the chocolate chips and use a spatula to mix them into the cookie dough
With clean hands roll the dough into balls with your hands and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Set aside a bowl of powdered sugar.
Bake for 10 minutes or until the cookies are light golden brown on the bottom
Let the cookies cool for about one minute (you want them to still be a little warm for the powdered sugar to stick), then roll them in the powdered sugar you set aside and let them cool down for a few more minutes.
